The Dailong Baptist Church Women Society, Tamenglong, organised a one-day Outing Program cum Cleanliness Drive at Khouduang (Barak Waterfall) tourist spot to commemorate International Women’s Day, which was celebrated worldwide yesterday. Mrs. Maliangjinliu Panmei, Head of the Department of History, Tamenglong College, participated in the Outing Program as resource person. In her speech, she urged the members of the women’s society, and the people of Tamenglong in general, to uphold the idea of cleanliness in public spaces. She also expressed how disgusting it is to see a beautiful tourist spot like Khouduang filled with plastic and other waste, and encouraged all visitors not to litter while visiting such tourist spots.
