Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Tamenglong District, on 19-20 January 2024

Tamenglong College (the lone Higher Education Institute in Tamenglong District), as a Nodal Office of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) for Tamenglong District in Manipur, conducted the VBSY on 19th and 20th January, 2024, in collaboration with the District Administration, Tamenglong.

For the Yatra, the following six villages were selected:
1) Old Tamenglong Village,
2) Utopia Village,
3) Duigailong Village,
4) Chiuluan Village,
5) Kahulong Village and
6) Chaengdai Village.

During the two-day VBSY, all departments in the district administration joined the outreached programme in which awareness were created among the villagers of the six villages. Many deserving persons among them were provided various schemes on the spot itself.

During the VBSY, about 150 to 200 villagers turned up from each selected villages. The villagers, after learning the benefits of VBSY, expressed their gratitude to the Government of India for taking up such a historic journey, i.e., the VBSY 2024.

After the Yatra was successfully conducted, the report was uploaded in the relevant portal of the Government of India, and a copy was also kept in the office of the College.
