Report of the Inter-departmental Activity conducted by the Department of History, Tamenglong College, on 3rd August, 2023 at the College Multipurpose Hall

Brief Report:

The Department of History conducted an inter-departmental extempore speech competition. 19 students from science and arts stream participated in the competition.

The competition was judged by three teachers from various departments. The participants were judged on the following criteria:
1. Pronunciation (10 pts)
2. Contents (10 Pts) and
3. Presentation (10 Pts)

Some of the topics included in the competition were:
i) Water is life
ii) Life without internet
iii) Importance of Library
iv) My favorite personality
v) What is Facebook?
vi) Cleanliness is next to Godliness
vii) Discipline in students’ life
viii) My aim in life, and many others

The following students were adjudged winners:

1) 1st Position: Enthuilungbe Disuang, BA 1st Semester (Sociology)
Topic: Water is life
2) 2nd Position: Lugailiu Riamei, BA 1st Semester (Sociology)
Topic: Importance of Library 
3) 3rd Position: Pamei Genevieve Gaikanpou, BA 1st Semester (History)
Topic: Cleanliness is next to Godliness
