The four-day long Tamenglong College Annual Sports Meet 2024 concluded successfully on 19 October 2024 (Saturday). The Sports Meet was organised from 16-19 October under the theme “Embrace the Challenge, Embody Victory”.
The Opening Ceremony, which was held at 10:00-11:00 am of 16 October was graced by Colonel Aman Ahluwalia, Sena Medal Commandant 6 Assam Rifles, as Chief Guest and Dr. Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal, Tamenglong College, as Guest of Honour.
During the Opening Ceremony, the College’s Annual Magazine 2024 was formally released by the Chief Guest in the presence of the Guest of Honour along with Shri Dibam Gonmei, Vice-Principal, Shri NG Tuakeulung, Editor, and other editorial board members (Interested persons can download the Magazine here or here.)
During the four-day long sports meet, various individuals, doubles, mixed and group events including football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, carom, tug-of-war, penalty shootout (for women), obstacle race, and several track and field events were conducted.
The students were divided into four houses, namely Himalayas (Green), Atlas (Red), Andes (Yellow) and Rockies (Blue), of which Himalayas (Green) House was declared as the Overall Champion.
