A Report of the Interdepartmental Activity conducted on at the college’s Multipurpose Hall

The Department of English, Tamenglong College, conducted the inter-departmental activity on 22 September 2023 at College’s Multipurpose Hall. This time, the competition was on Instant Reading and Basic English Grammar.

The Inter-departmental Activity began with words of welcome and introduction by Mr. NG Tuakeulung, Assistant Professor and Head of English department. In his speech, he welcomed all the staff and students present and wished the participants the best of luck. Further, he stressed on the importance of good reading on one hand and the need to have clear knowledge of basic English Grammar. After the Head of the Department spoke, Mr. David Jiangamlung Kamei, Assistant Professor of the Department, highlighted to the participants the rules of the competition.  Then, he invited the participants and the judges to take their places and the competition was conducted in a systematic manner.

At the end of the competition, the following students were declared as the winners of the competition:

1. Pamei Genevieve Gaikanpou, BA 1^st Sem : 1^st Position
2. Lusingguangliu Gangmei, of BA 1^st Sem : 2^nd Position
3. Enthuilungbe Disuang, BA 1^st Sem : 3^rd Position

The Interdepartmental Activity came to an end with the declaration of the result and a concluding remark by the Head of the Department.
