During the Farewell Programme for the final semester students on 24 May 2024, Ms. Machunlu Inka, BA English Honours (6th Semester), was acknowledged as the most prominent student for her outstanding contribution during her 3-year degree course in Tamenglong College by Tamenglong College Teachers’ Association. The declaration was made by Sir NG Tuakeulung, Asst. Professor & HoD, Dept. of English, who is also the General Secretary of the Association. She was also honoured with a cash prize of Rs. 4000 (four thousand only) as a token of appreciation.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF HER ACHIEVEMENTS DURING THE THREE YEARS COURSE:

During the 3-year Undergraduate (BA) course, Ms. Machunlu Inka won/participated in the following competition/programme:

2021:

1. Won the 2nd position, along with Ms. Dinkulungliu Gonmei (6th semester at that time), in the 2nd State Level Red Ribbon Quiz Competition at Kuki Inn Imphal, on 22-23 October 2021. They won the district-level competition before going for the State Level.

2022:

1. Participated in the State Level Red Ribbon Quiz Competition at Kuki Inn on 18-19 October 2022 with Mr. Maruading Newme and won a consolation prize. The team (two students) won the district-level competition before going for the State Level.
2. Participated in the Miss Inpui Beauty Contest and won the 2nd Runners Up along with a subtitle for “Miss Divine”.
3. Participated in the Miss Orange Queen beauty contest during the State Level Orange Festival at Tamenglong HQ on 17-19 December 2022.
4. Was the Master of Ceremonies in the FAREWELL PROGRAM for 6th Semester Students.

2023:

1. Was the Master of Ceremonies (Compere) in the Cultural Programme organised for the visiting NAAC Peer Team on 7-8 March 2023.
2. Was the Master of Ceremonies (Moderator) for the grand Celebration of the successful NAAC Assessment and Accreditation (1st Cycle) on 11 April 2023.
3. Won the 3rd position in the Debate Competition organized by Dept. of Sociology, Tamenglong College, on the topic, “Does gender equality exist in Zeliangrong Society” on 6 October 2023.

2024:

1. Master of Ceremonies (Compere) in the One-Day Career Guidance Program organised by IQAC, Tamenglong College, on 19 March 2024.
2. Won the 2nd position in the Declamation Contest organised by Dept. of Economics, Tamenglong College, on the topic, “What would I do to Develop the College if I were Given Enough Resources” on 5 April 2024.
3. Spoke on the topic, “The Importance of Cleanliness” at Model Village English High School, during the one-day cleanliness drive organised by NSS Unit-1, Tamenglong College, on 18 May 2024.

Apart from these, Ms. Machunlu had participated actively in various activities including dance, songs and sports events in many of the programs organised in the College and outside during the last three years.
