As in other parts of this great nation India, Tamenglong College observed the auspicious “Har Ghar Tiranga“ on 14 August 2023. The observation was led by Dr. N. Daimei, Principal, Tamenglong College, and was attended by students and teachers. “Har Ghar Tiranga” is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiated to encourage all the citizens of India to bring the Tiranga home from 13 – 15 August 2022. In the days past, our relationship with the Indian National Flag has been more formal and institutional rather than personal. therefore, bringing the Tricolour home collectively as a nation in the has become symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Flag but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. This initiative is especially focused on engaging the youth of the country, to inspire them to take a moment to reflect and pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives, so that their future generations could grow up in a country that was free.
