A Staff Meeting was held at the Office of the Principal to discussed a number of agendas on 20 August 2024. The meeting was Chaired by Dr. Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal, and attended by Shir Dibam Gonmei, Vice-Principal & Incharge of Examination Section, Shri Namsurei Thomas Kamei, IQAC Coordinator & HoD, Dept. of Economics, Shri David Jiangamlung Kamei, Joint Coordinator IQAC, HoDs of various departments (English, Political Science, History, Economics, Education, Botany, Sociology, etc.), Coordinators of various Cells (IT & Research, IGNOU, NCC, RUSA/PM-USHA, etc.) and Teachers and Staff of the College.

The Agendas of the Meeting include the following points among others:
1. ”Chief Minister’s Award for Educational Excellence”:
According to an intimation from the Directorate of Education (U), the “Chief Minister’s Award for Educational Excellence'” has been constituted in which eight best performing Colleges will be selected for cash award. [a team of four members led by Sir Namsurei Thomas Kamei, IQAC Coordinator, was nominated to do the needful].
2. Fresher’s Meet 2024:
After a threadbare discussion, the Freshers Meet 2024 is scheduled to be held on 31 August 2024 (Saturday) with Sir NG Tuakeulung, Assistant Professor & HoD, Department of English, as Coordinator and Ma’am N. Rose Gonmei, Assistant Professor & HoD, Department of Education as Joint Coordinator.
3. Annual Magazine of the College:
As proposed by the faculties of the Department of English in an earlier Staff Meeting, the Department of English is entrusted with the responsibility of the bringing out the Magazine in collaboration with the Magazine Secretary of Tamenglong College Students’ Union. And it is proposed that the Magazine should be brought out within the month of October.
4. Appointment of one member for Examination Section from Science departments:
Sir Dibam Gonmei, Vice-Principal & Coordinator/Officer-in-Charge of Examination Section, proposed that one more teachers from Science Departments should be appointed to assist the Examination Section as the existing two members, both from the Social Sciences, are unable to look after all exam related works. Accordingly, Sir James Pamei, Department of Chemistry, was appointed as the additional member/AOC to represent the Science Departments.
Now, the Examination Sections will have the following Teachers/Staff:
1. Shri Dibam Gonmei, Vice-Principal & Exam Incharge.
2. Shri Daidatlung Kameih, Asst. Professor & HoD, Dept. of Sociology, Assistant Exam Incharge.
3. Shri James Pamei, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Assistant Exam Incharge.
4. Shri Lungsunang, Daftry/Peon.
5. Brief Update on Attendance Tracking:
Shri Namsurei Thomas Kamei, IQAC Coordinator, briefed about the progress made with regards to Attendance Tracking and how it positively impacted the attendance of the students though there are still more to be done in this regard.
6. Feedbacks and Suggestions:
Shri David Jiangamlung Kamei, IQAC Joint Coordinator, Smt. Edouliu Riamei and others also shared their thoughts on various issues for further improvement of the college.
