In the organisational structure of Tamenglong College, the Government of Manipur through the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Manipur has overall control over administrative, financial, recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff and the functioning of the college. The college follows and implements the decisions taken and policies framed by the Government of Manipur.
Under the Department of Education, Government of Manipur, and the Directorate of University and Higher Education, the Principal is the head of the college who sees to the academic and administrative functioning of the college. The Principal is assisted by the head clerk, and support staff in the day-to-day administrative work.
Down the structure, the IQAC headed by the Principal and under the coordination of the Coordinator keeps a record of the events and activities conducted in the college and plays key roles in initiating quality in the overall functioning of the college. It strives to achieve the vision and mission of the college by bringing quality education, transparency in administration, and academic performance of the college. The IQAC of the college tries to institutionalize quality assurance strategies through an attendance tracking system, a rigorous system of internally assessing the students’ learning outcome, and adopting capacity-building measures for the teachers and students.
Then, there are the various departments with the heads of departments who plan and coordinate the teaching-learning and other activities of the department and see to the smooth functioning of the department. In the departments, there are the teachers who collaborate with the heads.
The library is headed by the Librarian and is assisted by the library staff. Also, there is the examination section headed by the Examination-In-Charge and the Assistant Examination-In-Charge. Further, we have various committees, cells, and clubs with a Coordinator each.
The students are at the base of the organisational structure of the college.
